My Houzz: A Family Apartment in a Victorian villa - Molly Freshwater apartment, located in an elegant Victorian villa, is the first property she and her partner, Spencer, have ever owned. Molly knew she wanted to be in south London - an area she likes - and when she and Spencer came across this property, they were sold. "The layout is really nice, Molly said. She also admired and spacious garden apartment. "I fell in love with it.
The first task Molly was to enlighten the place up, the walls were painted in dark colors. "We took everything back to white," she said. They also knocked down a wall in the hallway to make room for a small home office. Apart from hitting the wall, Molly, who is the co-founder of secret Linen Store, Spencer and addressed all the renovations on their own. Together, they created a family home that is rich in textures, vintage finds and midcentury style.

Molly Spencer and the apartment occupies the ground floor of an elegant Victorian villa. The left side contains the living room at the front and the kitchen to the rear, while the secondary right houses the master bedroom at the front and Mabel chamber backwards.

the apartment was originally carpeted, but Molly and Spencer prefer bare boards look. "We completely stripped back and sanded all the floors," Molly said. The living room is now heated with a large carpet and lots of soft textile.

Molly was immediately drawn to the vintage stop sign, now sitting in the corner of the living room, when she saw it in an antique shop on Dartmouth Road, Forest Hill, London. 'I love the things on sticks,' she laughs. "I am often attracted to this kind of form.

Molly made the original Advent calendar for Mabel, fill the bags with chocolates and treats. She hung them a long branch with ribbons. "I just found a branch in the woods and wrapped in colored wool, she said

Molly and Spencer were to make some changes in the kitchen. the cabinets were already, but they were green before Molly and Spencer painted white. "We changed the handles to make the kitchen more contemporary looking, Molly said.
They also removed the wall cabinets and instead installed floating shelves for open space. They are now home to the growing collection of Molly ceramics and trinkets, it collects from various shops charitable and antiques. 'I love the cups and pots and vessels,' she laughs.

The main bedroom was lighter than the rest of the apartment where the family moved. "It was very dark brown, like a mocha brown, Molly said.

"The circle is a silk scarf thought I framed," she adds. Like the rest of his house, Molly breathed this room with its personal touch and taste.
