Houzz Tour: A Creative Home Accessorised With family Gras - Creation Before its last renovation, this house was a classic exterior and a modern heart. Located just outside of Washington, DC, it was built in 02 in a Georgian mansion style. Inside, the living room is mostly open space. When the interior designer Raji Radhakrishnan and his family moved there 10 years ago, she began to put his style in the structure. "It was my design lab, and it went through various incarnations, she said. His affinity for Art Deco furniture of the period of France was born of a travel life. "I grew up in India, where I studied classical dance and I went to several international tours, she said. "The many cities I visited then influence my aesthetic today." The artwork throughout the home is the result of a long marriage. "My husband and I started donating art to another back when we could go on and shop at flea markets, she said.
