But the couple could see the potential in the house of character and there were many things on the wish list of Sian - beams, inglenook fireplace and a separate dining room - they decided to make an offer.

The displaced couples on Friday, October 31 last year and immediately began painting the beams. "By 6 am on Sunday morning, we finished the whole house," recalls Sian.

Sian dressed home for the holidays with a lot of natural materials and woven twinkling fairy lights and sparkling glass decorations everywhere. 'The cottage is suitable for Christmas, she said.
