Natalie Green Square and Janet had done a great job with landscaping, but there was an abandoned place in the garden where the family wanted to create an outdoor spa and a relaxation room, 'Lester said. Simon Berry Natures balance was already on board to help with the construction of the building, so that all that remained for Lester to imagine a concept that respects the views of the main property and blend seamlessly into the forest edge.
The result is a building that fits perfectly with the existing garden. The elegant, refined interior back is bathed in natural light, which complements the Zen spa feel created by the abundant paneling Douglas fir. "The transition from one room to another is wonderful," said Lester. "But most importantly, we were very respectful of the environment and it is an incredibly durable building. "I wanted the family to be able to sit in the hot tub and feel as if they were in a pond - close to nature - so we ran an engineering brook (stream) with its own supply water around the border, he said. "When you sit in the hot tub, you can see the pond, it feels like a more natural experience." "There are steps leading to the room right into the hot tub - we wanted to travel around the house into account as well," says Lester.
