Houzz Tour: A converted London Bakery is rising - "When we saw this apartment it was quite dark and in poor condition, but we felt it had so much potential, says Pereen of Russian Oats for fish architects. He was part of a former bakery that had been cobbled-together transformation in the 1980s, and what he lacked in windows and natural light, it consists in a large floor space.

'My partner, Matt and I are both architects and fortunately we have the same taste when it comes to the interior, "says Pereen. "But we were on a very tight budget, so we decided to live in the apartment for a while before starting work on it, so we can understand what we needed space, she said .

A year later, the pair applied for planning permission to put in a new window, turning a dark corner and help them make the most of their living space. Completed in 2012, the crispy, the well-designed space now enjoys plenty of natural light and is kitted with restraint, midcentury furniture style that complements the bold, the checkerboard floor.
