Houzz Tour: An Israeli Penthouse overlooking spectacular sea - When architect Pitsou Kedem was called to restore and redevelop a penthouse apartment on the seafront in Israel, he said with a resounding "Yes!" Kedem examined this residential project a pleasant challenge, one he began cautiously to honor the site of the apartment in Jaffa, an ancient port city from which Tel Aviv has increased. Intent on preserving historic elements of the structure without losing touch with the need for a contemporary space that reflects their modern lifestyle of its customers, Kedem and his team have created a comfortable design that straddles the old world and the new.

Shower in the penthouse is not for the timid when guests are around. As you can see from this picture, the shower is fully visible from the common area, hallway and part of the kitchen.

this corridor is actually an extension of the shower area - or rather, the shower is where the cloakroom corridor ends. Frameless cabinets with integrated handles are against the wall, the sink is built into the work plan, and the toilet is marked by a door handle sticking barely out of the door frame.

here, we see how the envelope perimeter balcony of the apartment. Although the balcony is too shallow for patio furniture, the space provides a place for Kedem customers to circulate and provides a magnificent view from which to see water and buildings neighbors.

Customers Kedem asked for a blend of "historical asceticism" and the contemporary minimalism - and they got it. Spartan living spaces and contemporary furnishings neutral colors do not fight for attention, but live harmoniously in the stone walls and arches of this penthouse. Strategically placed ambient lighting makes the kitchen and living room feel spacious and expansive, even after dark.
