My Houzz: Bringing Sunlight and leafy views of an Israeli apartment - "It was a big job," says architect Jonathan Dar on the complete renovation he and his wife, Nofar, was a dark and dingy house in Haifa, Israel.
They bought the unit in 2013 and spent nine months transforming the repulsive space in a light and bright home which celebrates trees enveloping. the interior is decorated with vintage finds visits weekend the flea market, and the Dars travel.

a seated conservatory where the kitchen is now, with a small room on the side for laundry and storage. The closed-off space was blocked much of the light from entering the rest of the house.
Jonathan improve the layout by removing a wall to create an open living plan. The original plan was to put the kitchen on the other side of the house, but Nofar liked the idea of having face to the outside.
Raw fridge freezer was given to Jonathan by a friend. Inside, he found the original receipt showing it was purchased in 1954.

Jonathan must-have list for the renovation were air, green and lots of light, "he said. The windows run the entire length of the kitchen and brighten the house considerably.

the corner the room is dominated by a large bathroom completely enclosed in glass. Jonathan found the extra-large chair at a flea market; the double back as towel bars.

When the couple bought the house, storage room in the shelter of an old desk that had been built by the owner's son elderly. They now use as a TV stand. Jonathan patched-like how the song and left unfinished.

Jonathan installed two sinks in the bathroom, despite the small size of the meter. black accessories and tubes add an industrial feel.

a second bedroom to the left of the bathroom is used as a home office. Displayed on open shelves are Jonathan collections of vintage cameras and musical instruments.

The original kitchen was transformed into a dressing room. Jonathan built a rack for hanging their clothes with plumbing pipes. This room may possibly be converted into a bedroom if necessary.
The biggest surprise came from the demolition, when the couple discovered a basement in their house. The large room was equal to the size of their living space and had been used by manufacturers to store debris during the construction of the building. Jonathan had workers remove most wastes.
The basement has no ventilation or light, but the couple could end and turn it into a studio one day.
