Houzz Tour: A Great New construction is treated to a sumptuous Makeover Louise Jones - spent three years designing the interior of this spacious new building, with 16,500 square feet but to work, the challenge was to create a sumptuous and contemporary diet, which does not look like a hotel lobby!
I like to design my clients and this was very much a collaborative effort, "says Louise. "The owner wanted the house to look modern, but still very welcoming. We decided to use a mixture of old items and customized with a refreshing palette of gray, silver and off-white, that grows as you move through the house.
Completed in 2010, the result is a large family home -plan opening with a unique feeling, contemporary, above all, still manages to feel cozy.

Louise decided to use a fabric on the walls of the main drawing room to give a more formal appearance than the rest of the house. "We wanted this room to feel elegant, but still cozy, so we chose a modern Donghia fabric in a beautiful shade of blue power, she said. "We were after a nice look, with lots of textures and layering. The rooms of this house are very large, so that Louise has controlled much of the furniture for them.
