Houzz Tour: A contemporary, elegant and families welcome - Interior designer Ann Lowengart described the house she created for an elegant couple and their two young children as "hip and edgy style but family. gloss finishes and high impact details blend with materials of the family and comfortable furniture in a house that emphasizes glamor but does not lose view feature. This is a home for a family who is not afraid to make bold choices and have some fun.
When she met the owners, Ann was immediately taken by their casual personal style but refined and how their newly purchased home in Marin County, in California, did not reflect this. She wanted the house to embody the sense of the owners style, then s he removed the signs as of the house in the 190s and has large rooms, high ceilings, natural light and plane well-executed floor to good use. The original kitchen included a fireplace. When the owners decided not need a chimney in their kitchen, Ann suggested they turn the corner in a bar.
She installed a wine cooler and mini fridge and lined interior of the bar of gold and turquoise painted paper Monaco Flavor of paper to give the kitchen a cheerful tone. When the bar is not in use, owners can close it with a custom Macassar ebony door Ann designed.

Ann played again with wallpaper in the downstairs cloakroom, covering the four walls in a bright geometric pattern. Wallpaper is great income, she said, and in general, it is particularly daring with wallpaper in the bathrooms. When using a large motif in a large room, it can be overwhelming, she said, but the bathrooms and other smaller venues can benefit from wallpaper drama.
