Near Wyoming, this picturesque property of the river is like something from a dream. But customers are not interested in a traditional cabin - they wanted a more modern approach.
Architect Eric Logan and his team Carney Logan Burke Architects deconstructs the traditional concept of a log cabin and cut the house into three pavilions connected by a single long corridor. Local and sheds conventional materials used to link this new house in its environment.

the corridor wall is made of hand-cut, square Douglas fir logs - a log cabin in reference inspiration from home. Instead of cutting the large walls of glass windows throughout the house, Logan and his team strategically placed windows key for optimal views.

wax applied to oxidized metal on the kitchen island created a leathery feel, like the metal on the outside of the house. A shelf walnut with a rim is a minibar and a storage area. The hickory cabinets has an aging stain that will deepen with time.

The arrangement of three zones form an area south courtyard. There are strong winds in this area, but the court remains protected against gusts and gets lots of sun.
