Houzz Tour: A contemporary mountain escape outside New York City - A house in the mountains can be a great respite from the big city, but it can also be a little lonely at times. That's why this house, at the base of Shawangunk Mountains, New York, is designed not only to embrace nature, but to encourage socialization. A lawyer is owner and about a third space is devoted to guest quarters. William Reue architect even created separate entrances for the owner and his guests, so that both can come and go as they please or socialize together in the large living space.
