Houzz Tour: A Victorian spacious and elegant apartment in West London - It is not everyday that you get to visit a triple lateral conversion. In fact, this is only the second property in London to have been created like that. A triple lateral conversion is to open a space horizontally on three properties. As you can imagine, it was a huge project, and the planning phase alone took more than seven months, but the result is an impressive space that has been elegantly decorated with furniture from around the world.

Take European aristocracy as a starting point, the designer used distressed paint finishes and custom furniture to give the space a slightly inhabited sensation.

the centerpiece is the most formal of the three functions and is designed for hosting customers. It is more structured, and the furniture is imposing. "Much of the furniture was manufactured in Italy by artisans of the old school," says Bonnie, "and the rug is handmade in Nepal.

The next reception room has a comfortable feel. "This is more of a relaxation," says Bonnie. "We had a beautiful, large, L-shaped sofa is to create a real focal point.

This was the only fireplace in the apartment that was replaced. Georgina sketched the design and had marble Rosso by a stonemason. To the left of the fireplace is a hidden TV. The paneling electronically lifts up to reveal the dish.
Bonnie used the same curtains here than in more formal reception room to create some continuity to the front elevation.

The third reception room is a multi-functional space that serves as a kitchen, breakfast room and an informal lounge area.
"We wanted a bit of an Art Deco decor here," says Georgina. "We did not want the kitchen to feel too much like a kitchen, Bonnie added. It kept light and fresh with white walls broken, and chose a more relaxed dining table, where she teamed with tailored Italian chairs.

Georgina sketched the design of the kitchen and had done according to his design. "We do not want cupboards," she said, so a lot of storage went to the island.
The cabinets are lacquered wood with antique brass handles, and the work plan is a beige marble with gray marble marquina on the island. A mirror backsplash and smoked brass faucets complete the look sophisticated and luxurious.

the rooms are all decorated in a neutral palette with gray shades, elegant furniture accent pieces. A custom bed covered with a luxurious bed cover is the main feature of this room. The mirror above the fireplace is actually a TV.

Each room has a private bathroom. "At the end tiles are rough-cut marble," says Georgina. "They come as a mosaic sheet you can stick to the wall. The shower is lined in back-painted glass. With brass fittings adding a warm glow to cold surfaces, the look is classic with a contemporary twist.

A second bedroom continues the look of understated elegance. Linen wallpaper gives the room heat, while the jute rug brings in a nice texture. As in other rooms, Georgina has created a soffit in the ceiling and installed hidden LED strip lighting that can be dimmed to change the mood.

to the master suite, Bonnie wanted to do something that would make it different from other rooms, she opted for an abaca carpet, which is a type of natural fiber. There is a small corner housing a dressing table, custom-blackened oak, and the suite has two bathrooms (one sound and hers) and a large dressing room that leads to the reception area library seen in the distance.

apartment has a beautiful long balcony that stretches the full width of the house. Anoushka Feiler of Bestique took care of the landscaping. "We have lots potted plants and tiled floors Victorian style to give it a feeling established," says Georgina.
