Houzz Tour: A green house in the heart of the Forest - Built as a green home, this family house in the New Forest is full of features environmentally friendly, from the system recovery of rainwater ecological paint on the walls. It took about a year to build and owners moved in December 2012. "They were extremely involved throughout the construction," says Wendy Perring PAD studio, the architects of this project. "They lived on site in a caravan across and helped loads, digging foundations and doing much of the ground and wiring.

The owners have insisted the house be built around the highest ranking of energy efficiency within the Sustainable Homes Code. "They wanted to be as off-grid as possible, said Perring. The team at CSA studio designed the house to be sustainable and low impact by working with local materials throughout and with local artisans and labor. The result is a house brilliantly energy efficiency that is beautifully designed for family life in the heart of the New Forest National Park.
