My Houzz: A French real estate in Provence Gets a New Life - Harry Dolman and designer Chantal Dussouchaud across an old building is deteriorating nestled among lavender fields and orchards in Provence. Its location was a huge draw for Dussouchaud, who grew up in the south of France. But he had to work to transform the place in the summer residence of the family they planned - the value of seven.

Teaming with local artisans, including masons and ironmongers, the couple has been carefully restored the property of five sprawling rooms using traditional construction techniques, creating a contemporary take on design traditional French provincial. "To be 300 years or more, the house is a storybook itself says Dussouchaud. "Imagine all the events she has met all the lives he loved and embraced." The previous owner had lived there for 50 years.
