Before the renovation, the room next to the kitchen served as a breakfast room. Now it is called the Morning Room, and is as much to relax with the newspaper or laptop as eating a bowl of cereal.
"We moved a table in the living room, and it seemed redundant to have another table here. We have done a very nice place to relax with the newspaper or a cup of coffee, "said Ogden. "I think it has become the favorite room in the house.
The color palette in this room works throughout the house: white, blue, red and orange. "White has a gray base and blue skew indigo, Ogden said. "The colors are complex because with the red and blue, it is easy to go sports team.

The client came to the initial design meetings with photos of a Mediterranean-style tiles. The designers took the concept and worked with a tile company that would allow them to change the scale and complete the model. "We made the surface looked a little worn, because we wanted the tiles to look old and this inner feeling as if it had been assembled over time," Ogden said.

blue and orange tiles are amplified by the islet of deep blue and orange kitchen bar stools and coral. Flowers in the tiles and tack saddles, Ogden said, "It's fun to play footprints on the other. I think sometimes if you think too much, the design becomes rigid. As I said, we wanted to feel as if the house had evolved over time, even if we did it all at once. Mixing prints makes it appear as if this is how it came together. "

Another trick to making the interior seem more than just timeless installed stratification details involved such as corbels luscious on the work plan of the island, the beefy hood over the cooktop and lantern lights hanging from the ceiling like. 'That last 10% of the design process, one where small details are worked out, which is the crucial part, said Ogden. "That's where the most interesting things happen."

The room contains a dining area. One of the favorite designers movements is to put a small bench seat style at the end of a table. "It is more informal and it allows you to install more people around the table, said Ogden.

An ancient map chest in the dining room is compatible with family in more than one way. "One of the owners had a grandfather who was in sailing and cards, so it was fun to find a piece like this for them," said Ogden.

Throughout the house, there are manufacturing craft, sometimes eccentric, accessories - such as the small side table by the chair in the master bedroom.
