Houzz Tour: Old house Creative Director of Vogue Gets a new look - During its 150 years of existence, this apartment in a brownstone in New York City was home to a dummy -actrice, DJ fame and the woman responsible for the appearance of Vogue . It was Grace Coddington, creative director of long standing for perhaps the most famous fashion magazine in the world, which gave the two-story apartment loft look. Downstairs, there was an open space lined with closets and a tiny kitchen out-of-the-way. A spiral staircase hard to navigate the corner leading to a single bedroom and bathroom tucked under a steeply pitched roof.

'Judging by the size of the kitchen, I would say Grace Coddington did not cook much, said Katie Martinez, the interior designer who, with architect Anastasia Amelchakova, remodeled space for the current owners - newlyweds Trevor and Christina Winstead. The bride and Martinez are old college friends and she trusted the designer to help the first couple's home address their sensitivities.
