Houzz Tour: A Grown-up in foster care in the Hollywood Hills - When the owners of this house in Hollywood Hills purchased, they were preparing for some major life changes . They were moving to New York City, and were about to become parents of twins. Most would agree that these elements constitute a full plate, but the couple went further by deciding to buy this house, a Spanish Mediterranean in the Hollywood Hills. They hired Krista Schrock and David Dick Interiors of disk to help make a house that was the family, but not exclusively kid-centric.

designers were faced with unique conditions: customers appreciate a sleek design, Scandinavian, and they wanted an interior that would work for children and adults, because their household was about double with the birth of their twins. They started with something of a clean slate. They had just moved to New York, "Dick said. "They had furniture, but not much.
The designers created a lounge with a subtle palette and a secret kid-friendly. "The ottoman opens for storage of toys, Dick said. Designers have created the room with smooth, rounded corners so it would not bump babies heads that will turn into toddlers unstable on-their-feet.
'The purpose of this room was to be super comfortable but sophisticated, said Dick

The octagonal room is an unusual shape, but it has allowed designers to place beds in the room to the other. "They are close but not too close, says Dick. "That way, when a baby wakes up, there is a chance he will not wake up the next.

Cots have a shorter lifespan if white makes sense. Banners paper streamers (in coral base, turquoise and metal bands) are hung safely on the cradles, and seem to give the space a festive air. Floral bedding includes some of these colors, while gold and cloud-and-stars Mobile Money reflect the glittering banner.

the room for adults has a perspective that is less pink and green. The wall, which reads very dark in this picture, is a deep, rich green. He fixed on the light-colored bed table, bedding and the side as the black velvet showcases diamonds in a jewelry store.
"It is a very dramatic moment," Dick said. "I tell clients you want a highlight in the room, and you build around that. Too many strong elements are not a good thing. "

another highlight comes in the kitchen, where there are two chairs with a powerful impression and benches around a table. This corner was a white spot before the designers created the bench and table.
The upholstery on the cushions and chairs is made from outdoor fabric. The top of the custom table, with rounded corners is made from white Caesarstone. "Customers wanted a table that could easily be erased, that children will eat here, Dick said." One of our customers also plans to use his laptop at the table, so we made sure output is nearby.
