Houzz Tour: a Parisian apartment with a balcony Superb - Drawn on the panoramic balcony and stunning views of the left bank of Paris, the owner of the house decided the view was worth the odd layout and dubious decor. The husband and wife design duo Alon and Betsy Kasha gutted space, starting with a blank slate. Matt oak floors, white walls and clean lines now visually expand the small space on the balcony, newly renovated, embracing the rooftops of Paris.

original floor plan of the apartment had room sandwiched between the living room and bathroom. The Kashas switched the kitchen and bathroom areas, allowing more open kitchen. Now, the kitchen takes up little space in the living room and dining room open. The Kashas stuck with a simple design that complements the clean lines of the main living area. Although it takes a little help, the balcony - rare in this part of Paris - is what attracted the customer to this apartment. The Kashas were pleasantly surprised that it was structurally sound and only cosmetic changes required.
