Houzz Tour: A Modern Beach House That is a dream in California - Architect David Wilson in Berkeley, California, had been looking for the perfect plot of land in Stinson Beach for years. This small beach community in northern California is just north of San Francisco and is one of the few stretches of usable range in the region. Wilson and his wife, Stacia Cronin, he was their dream location for a modern house and environmentally.
Finally, they found the perfect place - a field in southeast slope land with beautiful views of the peaks of Mount Tamalpais and the perfect amount of sunlight for solar energy. There was only one problem: local laws limit the size they could build their property. But it was a welcome challenge for Wilson, because it meant minimizing the footprint of the house as much as possible.
