Elaine and the team Camellia Interiors specialize in sensitive coastal renovations and meet the memory of Harvey, a discrete system relaxed by layering up different textures to give it a lived organic appeal. "The family wanted the house to feel comfortable and not" over-designed "says Elaine. But there must be a functional space where they could get a Friday night and feel totally relaxed.

"the owners have always reserved the paint for the room, so we used this as our starting point - it really informs the entire color scheme," says Elaine.

mustard accessories yellow and gray refer to bright shades of paint in the master bedroom. "The soft colors and Zoffany wallpaper is deliberately muted, as I did not want any aspect of the plan to dominate the room - the artwork and the view do the talking," says Elaine.
The oak flooring was stained with a gray wash to further soften the look, which is illuminated by natural light renowned for its beauty of St Ives which flows into through large windows.

Elaine converted dead space in the attic in cozy guest room by layering textures. wood paneling on the rear wall lends a beach house atmosphere to the room, while the bold geometric carpet adds energy.
