Houzz Tour: An apartment style effort in the heart of Milan - It is not always easy for an architect to stay focused during the renovation of her own house. Milan architect Selina Bertola, however, the renovation of his own home was less difficult than she expected. "Oddly enough, I got everything pretty clear from the beginning," she said. "My ideas were gradually refined and the different phases of design and construction have followed naturally.

Bertola began renovation, which lasted six months, improving existing structures and elements. The wooden beams, which had previously been hidden were exposed, processed and stuccoed.

The industrial kitchen incorporates design elements: hexagonal floor tiles in cement, a warehouse-style ceiling lamp in iron and wood shelves.
