Houzz Tour: A Modern Luxury Penthouse in the city of London - In the heart of London's financial district, a luxury penthouse was added to the top of an old turn-of store -the-century that had been converted into apartments. The five floors below the penthouse all stand in a building that is aged at least 100 years. There, however, it is all about clean lines, luxurious textures and a contemporary glass facade to facade. photographic art was the starting point of the design, and various land and cityscapes can be found throughout the apartment.

despite the rectangular shape of the room, Thomas chose a circular dining table with chairs and a curved suspended luminaire dramatic semi-spherical. "For dinner, you need task lighting," says Thomas, "it makes it more comfortable, and forms work well together here. The interior of the pendant light is a stucco finish, and the outside is a reflection of black lacquer. "He's a true statement piece and plays with old and new," he added.

The kitchen combines gray lacquer finish with china cabinets to create an interesting two-tone effect. Thomas explains that porcelain is a new product developed with special technologies, and it is difficult to wear and utility.

The door entrance overlooks a small hallway with cloakroom, local coat and a staircase leading upstairs. Thomas kept clean and classic, with light porcelain tile and a little oak to give it an organic touch.

The staircase is dominated by an almost black suede wallpaper. "It's amazing, Thomas said," you just want to touch it. He has such great texture, you constantly want to slide your hand on it. "An atmospheric photograph of gondolas in Venice complete the look, while the glass railing and oak flooring blend in discreetly.

A vanity Office is located at the intersection between the main bedroom and dressing room. It's a smart design with the chair on the way in perfectly and provides considerable storage for its size. "This roundtable was a great find, admits Thomas.

No exception to the rest of the apartment, the view from the master bathroom are spectacular. "I designed the apartment's layout, specifically wanted a full-length window here, Thomas said.
To keep it clean and elegant, he chose the light porcelain tile for walls, light brown marble for the floor and some oak in the cabinet. There is also an integrated TV to make it even more forgiving.
