My Houzz: A Scandi-chic Home famous monochrome and natural wood - Regarding the design of the house, Mari ë t van der Kooij loves two things: Scandinavian style and scrap wood furniture. So when the 28-year-old educator with 25 years moved Temp temporary worker Tim van Soeren last year, it jumped on the opportunity to decorate their new flat in taste signature.
Their compact rented apartment in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, is surrounded by windows overlooking the city, giving the pair enough natural light to opt for an interior black and white, full of DIY furniture.

When the couple moved in, the walls were yellow and there was a second door leading directly from the living area in the room . Tim convinced Mariet to paint a portion of the coal gray wall. With single room in the apartment, the couple created a small shared workspace in the corner. A bag be-poles design studio French keeps the place tidy taking packaging materials and paper crafts.
