My Houzz: Vintage Finds Create a Retro Feel Relaxed Queensland - When Rachael Valentine and his partner Sebastian received eight weeks to find a new home, they could not believe their luck when this original 1976 beach duplex increased for rental. Given distinct structure and appearance of the 1970s the house, very few tenants would be able to improve or supplement the original fittings and accessories with their existing decor. This was not the case for vintage shopper expert Rachael - i t was less than a year since the couple moved into this unique property and yet it feels as if they have lived here for years.
The coastal home is full of color and character and almost everything they brought with them is pre-loved. "Our style is retro and recycled, which is strongly defined by what we seem to find in antique stores, said Rachael. F ince the beginning, one might even believe that the house was made for the dynamic duo, as their humble lifestyle and existing property could not have been presented with a more appropriate space to call home.
