My Houzz: Copper warm tones an Amsterdam apartment - Alarm bells begin to sound whenever Kees de Zwart sees copper accessories. The 53-year-old employee of financial services to TomTom is proud of his new acquisition, a brass lamp in the hallway. De Zwart has a knack for finding beautiful objects in unlikely places - including windows, it happens.
But to create coherence and context in his compact apartment Amsterdam, he enlisted the help of interior designer Anja Hesp and entrepreneur René Koomen. The vision of De Zwart was having a tough interior, modern, but not too elegant. A year after metamorphosis, he is hit with his new home.
