Houzz Tour: A New Texas Farm with a nod to the past - A brand new farm almost sounds like an oxymoron. Usually the structures are traditional and nostalgic, have been around for decades, and are added or renovated. That's why the architect and builder Eric Rauser the new building farm on an organic farm in Texas, is so unusual. Rauser studied historic farms in Central Texas and watch like a really old house.
He completed the effect by creating extensions he imagined would have been done by generations of families over the decades. A projection room on the structure and mixing different materials to mimic an expansion work would come to a different time in the life of the house. "People say it's a major renovation, which is a compliment because we wanted to feel like she had been there, said Rauser.
