Houzz Tour: Two apartments are merged to create a light, spacious apartment - To create an apartment with living space that you want usually associate with a spacious family house, two apartments in this new high-rise built in the Bulgarian capital Sofia have been converted into one by the London-based designer Susan Knof design Knof.
"The owners called me before committing yourself to see if it could be done," says Knof. "It was a challenge in terms of movement of the different structures and wiring and air conditioning, but we did. The apartment covers the entire floor of the building, which means it enjoys 360 degree views and fantastic natural light; This is what has influenced much of the interior design.

main bedroom has been designed to feel like an inner sanctuary, cut off from the bustle of family life. To ensure the flow of each space in the other, the same gray tones and soothing cream, exposed in the main living space, still in here. The softer lighting feel more intimate, however, while the upholstered headboard and a bed dressed with plump cushions add an extra layer of luxury.
