Houzz Tour: A Crumbling building in Sydney Gets a Makeover Superb - It is not every day that a design-build team happens to be their own client. But when Nathan and Bettina Waller, who run the home improvement company based in Sydney Building Capital, found a half-demolished structure in the suburbs, they decided to renovate it for themselves.
Drawing on 20 years of experience, they built a new house cool with a contemporary twist.

a former owner seemed to have made an effort to rebuild the house of the 1970 original, but when the Wallers found, the structure has been partially demolished.
The finished house is a multi-stage that is perfectly suited to the character of its suburban environment, maximizing natural light with large windows with a contemporary aesthetic crisp.

inside the house, the team recycled and used a neutral palette to help achieve a soothing sensation. "You feel like time is standing still in the house, and the pace of manic life outside does not come, said Bettina.
The front door opens into a spacious reclaimed wood staircase, which leads either up the bedrooms and down in the living room. The Wallers custom designed door entry using a standard framework, and the implementation of an agreement wood puzzle of varying thickness on the outside.
