Houzz Tour: A Fit Flat Paris Cool and contemporary Entertaining - Having lived in Belgium for the past two years, the owner has decided to return to France an apartment in the neighborhood of Paris Marais. Having found a large empty space, the client requested the help of the architect Tatiana Nicol, who had redesigned his apartment in Belgium. The objective was clear; design a cozy refuge where the owner could relax between flights, and to have a space to spend time with friends.
At the beginning, there was no kitchen, no bathroom, no room ... no interior walls of any kind. After five months of continuous work, that empty space before is now a chic and practical pad with a friendly atmosphere. Each newly designed room has an optimal storage from floor to ceiling, and there is a large open living plan. The result is a spacious and cozy home where the owner will appreciate entertain his guests.

'These doors are the only remaining elements before work. They belonged to a wardrobe and were transferred into this bathroom, where they now open up even more storage space, "says the architect. They are made of aged wood and bring character and life to the room.

'Table and buffet come from Belgium. I had already designed the former apartment of the client there and we decided to move his furniture with him, "says Tatiana. The kitchen is brand new, like the rest of the apartment. Sandstone work plan is repeated in the ground around the units, protect the wooden floor and defining the kitchen area.

I pierced the two holes in the wall between the kitchen and the bathroom. They are an excellent example of my Moroccan inspirations, "says the architect. The back is polished concrete and copper to keep the warmth.

"We sought to create a timeless apartment, which would not be out of style. This is why the elements possibly fashionable (like copper lamps) are only a small part of the house, "says Tatiana. The lamp on the dresser is a creation by Marine Breynaert.
