Houzz Tour: Vintage Finds and Midcentury style Transform an old school - It is hard to believe that this apartment on the ground floor in a building off street in Berlin was part of a once language school labyrinthine, with claustrophobic classrooms. The rooms have become so light and airy for processing, no one would ever guess how they started.
The owner enlisted the pros Vintagency to help take care of everything from tear on the walls and renovate the bathroom in the selection of furniture and accessories.

Once you make your way through the leafy courtyard of this renovated property, up the little staircase to the mezzanine and pass through the door, you get a small kitchen in shape V. The cabinets have been updated with new fronts and door handles by Superfront.
The owner loves vintage design, which is one of the reasons she chose Vintagency team, who specialize in research of vintage pieces. When she was a student, long before she began Vintagency, Maj van der Linden started selling vintage furniture on eBay. "In the late 190s, many people began throwing their old furniture from the 1960s and 1970s with their household waste, she said. "Just walk around the most affluent areas of Frankfurt, you would see classic by Cassina Knoll or drag!
She and her partner, Rosario Bona, both have a passion for vintage furniture and a nose for the right sources. But they are not afraid to bring in experts to areas outside their expertise, either. For example, curator based in Berlin Annabelle von Girsewald helped select work for this project, and the Lux Studio helped resolve the situation difficult light.

the windows leading to the covered portico - to the right in this image - are quite large, allowing plenty of natural light to flood the living room. The white oiled floor that replaced the scope, previous yellowish soil made the greatest contribution to the clarification of space.
The new suite of rooms, from the living room by the office and in the guest room, almost seem to glow, and there are a lot of fixed points where your eye can rest. This reveals the subtle relationships of each point of view, such as recurrent delicate black lines in the iron frame of the coffee table, lamps in the office, and the trapezoidal pattern of soft carpet Beni Ourain.

"It was hard to find vintage furniture for the needs and the exact dimensions of this office," said van der Linden. "Sometimes the best solution may be to have something custom made." In this case it was an office by the Berlin-based company Neue Tische, which is airy, light and has plenty of workspace.

the guest room, which adjoins the office, is the same size as one of the old classrooms of the language schools, but is much more comfortable now. With a stacking bed and a small office, it has everything you need for a few quiet hours of downtime. Blue striking contrast here with some yellow highlights, such as the classic light Panton FlowerPot.

the bathroom has been renovated without breaking the budget. It includes underfloor heating, but the system is actually installed inadvertently due to a missed point. Vintagency sent an email update to the contractor that read, "the floor, heating also have to do ...". However, the entrepreneur read "floor heating" and began installing the heating coils. It was a happy accident, and that they can look back on and laugh now.

the second, large bedroom is at the end of a narrow hallway and around the corner. In the room entry area (not shown), a wardrobe Ikea was installed in a niche, and upcycled with new red leather fronts and handles by Superfront.

Evaluation and integration of existing parts was one of the first steps Vintagency took in planning interior. After all, there was not much time to create something that reflects the owner's personality - something akin to an interior that has been cultivated for many years.
