How did you choose the name?
I met my partner in a bar and noticed he was drinking a bottle that looked like a bottle apothecary. He agreed with me and I liked the fact that he knew what it was. Furthermore the slogan of my blog is "make your home feel better," so it just kind of makes sense.

What was the place like when you first moved in?
He was a bright, shiny new white box with boring beige carpet throughout. I kept the white walls, but got rid of all carpets and gray painted floor in the living area and white in the office and bedroom.
I wanted it to be white to maximize natural light. Also, because it is a new construction, it does not have features such as alcoves or cornicing, and I think it might feel a little hard if I had painted in a color. I wanted it to be a blank canvas for me to add to my furniture and with textiles.

have you pet hate?
I hate clutter and hoarding. I am very good not to have too many things - things I constantly gathers every two months. When my partner moved in, he brought a lot of things, and I just want to secretly get rid of him without knowing him. The way I see it, if you put things in a box and do not miss them after a few months, so you will never miss them.

do you have a design rule that you live by?
I would like to have an eclectic mix of furniture and textiles in my house, but I always try to bring cohesion to the aid of one or two colors that thread through the eye, drawing all together. My dream is finally living in a Victorian terrace, but for now I prefer to be in the center of London in a new apartment building.
