Houzz Tour: A Chic and Cosy Penthouse in Val d'Isere - Jorge Grasso and Associates architects were responsible for the rise of this residence so the penthouse would overlook the valley, so the team was happy when the penthouse owners asked them again to complete the renovation. This was a great chance for us to be able to realize this project all along, "says a member of the team led by interior designer Jorge Grasso.
There was a huge project, with the interior designer while directing carcass to cutlery. The owners had clear ideas, and the designer listened to their wishes, but was given free rein to let his creativity run - or should that be slipping into this place of snowy mountain - up and down the penthouse. The result is an elegant but comfortable holiday for a French family.

This cottage-like penthouse has a glorious wall of windows overlooking the village and the hills beyond. The owners wanted a warm and cocooning, so that the walls were dressed in white lead (or limed) oak, a typical material in mountain homes. "Here, originality lies in the fact that wood is on the walls, rather than on the floor," says the designer. The high chimney was dressed slate stone by a local contractor.

Having lived in England, the owners want to give their home a British feel. A thick silk carpet features throughout the apartment, while the curtains, notes of rose and classical sofa are all 'English touches completing this British feeling. "

Any structural flat work has resulted in several technical ducts necessary to incorporate designer. Here, the "wall" behind the pink sofa has been used as a natural divide between the living room and dining room. "We shot a technical constraint in a decorative element, says the designer.

The kitchen has a center island with independent hotplates and a retractable hood. "We never stopped communicating with our customers, listening to their every wish," says the designer of the features in the professionally equipped kitchen almost exclusively.
