Houzz Tour: A sophisticated Georgian cottage in the Cotswolds - To (not so little) cottage in the Cotswolds, it was important for customers that each room had its own unique feel but still working with the rest of the house. "The challenge was to create something very strange that some all tied together," says Kirsty McMorron designer Absolute Abode Design The property consists of three buildings that are interconnected. to bring a sophisticated feel to the lounge, Kirsty chose luxurious fabrics in gray and purple to cover custom made furniture. The owners often host friends and family, so it was important that the room was big enough to fit in a good number of people. "The reception and cocktail needed to take up to 10 people, said Kirsty.
'We used a wallpaper in dark purple silk on the central wall to give him a little more glamorous," dit- it. Mirrors behind shelves help to make larger proportions, and are "great fun with cocktails."

Kirsty went to purples muted, browns and greens to keep the look here is quite discreet. There is no TV, either. 'this is a space for reading, chatting and sat by the fire, said Kirsty.

driver on the living room is the space of the picturesque library, with stairs leading to the TV room. "This used to be the dining room, but we changed into an area of the library because customers love books, says Kirsty. All shelves were custom made, and the chair and carpet were from antique shops.

The kitchen was in very good shape, so Kirsty and Sophie has not had to change much other than the color of the cabinets. It is a fairly traditional country cuisine in a warm gray with a red Aga to brighten the space.
The door at the end opens into the dining room in the old stables, and on the right is a small pantry.

Located in the old house of malt, the kitchen windows are small and very sweet. Two small cushions transform one into a corner area. Kirsty painted a red chair firm tie with the Aga fat.

A large dining table and chairs sit i n the old stables . The space was originally used for storage, but Kirsty felt that it was more practical to move the dining room where the library is here now.
"It makes quite the atmosphere, have in the stables, and it also works much better to be next to the kitchen," says the designer. She painted the wall steady red to add a touch of drama and create continuity with the kitchen.

blue takes center stage in a second bedroom. 'This is a very sunny room on the same floor as the master bedroom, we wanted it to be nice and cool, said Kirsty.

This attic room bath in the old cottage does not have to be changed. "We just added the wall sticker to make it a bit odd, said Kirsty.
