"Fortunately, the owners were very ambitious," said Kieron. "We already had the planning permission to build a major extension at the rear of the house, but they wanted to explore the possibility of adding a basement to create a den for their four children. "

"We did a lot of structural changes in the old part of the house, says Kieron. "It is a Victorian building was designed for another era. At the time, people wanted, independent living spaces smaller. We had to cut down some walls to create large areas, open-plan we have now. The customer wanted to respect the traditional features of the original house, without overwhelming the space.
