Houzz Tour: A Period Apartment With bold and modern works Vibe - How do you an apartment that appeals to everyone without making it fade? This was the practical challenge of interior luxury design Intarya, when they were responsible for designing the interiors for a wonderful spectacle duplex in the prestigious development Lancasters London.

Overlooking Hyde Park, the Lancasters was originally an elegant parade of 15 magnificent stucco-fronted Grade II listed houses dating from the mid 19th century. The buildings have been restored and converted to create a fusion of traditional architecture and modern design. The result was 77 private apartments, complete with gardens, fitness facilities and a swimming pool.

For the show apartment, Intarya used the major architectural features of the building as a starting point, creating a system with a contemporary edge that both worked in harmony with the size of the building and served to showcase its unique elements.

Houzz Tour: evocative textures set the tone in St Ives House - A beautiful mid-Victorian terrace on the coast of Cornwall was the starting point for an elegant but welcoming retreat-vacation for Harvey the family. "The previous owners had a very particular style that does not suit all the family, recalls designer Elaine Skinner. "We had to essentially rob the whole place back and start from scratch.

Elaine and the team Camellia Interiors specialize in sensitive coastal renovations and meet the memory of Harvey, a discrete system relaxed by layering up different textures to give it a lived organic appeal. "The family wanted the house to feel comfortable and not" over-designed "says Elaine. But there must be a functional space where they could get a Friday night and feel totally relaxed.

a palette of gray references, sweet white and yellow artwork owners wanted to incorporate into the diet and the local countryside. "We also spent a lot of time to restore a number of features original that had been removed or hidden in the property, "says Elaine. He was, she admits, a laborious process, but the rewards speak for themselves." It was always a nice house, but now we have given his personality. "
