The armchairs near the fireplace selected for their great style and slim figure, began life as off-the-shelf. The arms and metal legs were then powder coated in white, and added new leather upholstery, for a custom look.
Before the makeover, the home had a black marble ambiance. "The home is tiny, said free. "It is the size you expect to find in a Victorian house. It replaced the wood burning fireplace with gas fire, and gave the function more presence with large limestone tiles and a frame-shaped fireplace. The work of art, created by a descendant of samurai sword makers, is a sheet of metal with lines that recall a gray horizon.
blue painted alcoves on each side of the fireplace highlight as the focal point. With the addition of shelving and lights of simple suspensions, they were transformed into an art exhibition space. Rustic pottery pieces by Laura Kirar are high Plexiglas stands and bases and highlighted by hanging lamps. "We often have that kind of stands made for art, said free. "The removal of parts from the shelves a little fact out."
